We all know that creativity has no limits. Therefore, creative animators work on different kinds of animations to bring out the most awesome and inspiring productions. However, the use of any animation type depends upon the budget; required output quality, aesthetics, style, feel; and other professional requirements.

Today, let’s gain some insight about varying kinds of animation.

Classical 2d Animation– this is the traditional form. In this, at least 12 drawings are made for one-second length of the film and then they are scanned or captured for post production in computers.

Digital 2d Animation-mostly used for TV series and web animation, it includes drawing frames directly on the software.

Digital 3d Animation– In this method 3D models are created, rigged or animated in a virtual space.

Stop Motion Animation– in this method, characters or objects are placed against their background in such a manner that background is exposed to the frame. Following that, slight modifications are done and another frame is taken.

Clay Animation-it is a kind of stop motion animation which utilizes clay, mostly plasticine.

Cut-Out Animation-it is also a kind of stop motion technique in which background, props and characters are made using paper cards, photographs or some other stiff fabrics.

Paint on Glass Animation– in this technique, slow drying oil paints are used on the sheet of glass. This method is used for making animated films.

Drawn-On-Film Animation –it’s an animation without camera. In this, footage is created by creating images on film stock directly.

Animation work needs a great deal of precision, that’s why this task should always be handled by a professional animation company only.
